The Canopy

From Christy Award–winning and bestselling author Angela Hunt comes a gripping tale of science, faith, and the fight for survival deep within the heart of the Amazon. In the lush and perilous rainforests of Peru, research scientist Alexandra Pace is running out of time. A deadly neurological disease is slowly destroying her mind and body--and may already have claimed her young daughter. Desperate for a cure, Alexandra leads a team into the jungle to search for answers buried deep within its shadows. When she encounters British doctor Michael Kenway, whose wife died during the "mad cow disease" outbreak of the 1990s, he tells her a story she can hardly believe: a patient once cured by a mythical "healing tribe" hidden within the Amazon. With nothing left to lose, Alexandra agrees to join the search unaware that the cure she seeks may demand more of her than she ever imagined. Thrilling, thought-provoking, and richly atmospheric, The Canopy explores the collision of science and faith in a breathtaking race against time. Perfect for fans of medical suspense and inspirational fiction alike, this novel will leave you pondering where healing truly begins.
